Program Notes

“A Star” is a nursery rhyme for children. This easy three finger piano music is perfect for new piano students and is suitable for recitals, lesson material, or evaluations. The Paint with Piano notation uses long and short boxes to represent the length of notes, and colors to represent the harmony. Red is the tonic chord, and Blue is the Dominant chord. It is highly recommended that teachers learn with piece with their students in many different keys. The highest box is “mi”, or the third scale degree, the middle box is “re”, or the second scale degree, and the lowest box is “do, or the first scale degree. If you are just learning about Paint with Piano Notation you might want to look at the “Adeio Chroma” arrangement which translates the Paint with Piano notation into grand staff notation.
